MATT GARRETT

Middle School Director

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Matt Garrett honed his skills at the renowned Montgomery Bell Academy. He was a four-year starter and versatile player, adept at both catcher and shortstop positions. This earned him a scholarship at the University of Tennessee, where excelled in baseball while also pursuing academic interests, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Beyond his personal playing career, Matt became committed to coaching, teaching, and personal strength training. Through this, he discovered a profound joy in educating and empowering young athletes. He focuses on refining specific skills such as glove work, positional catch-play, strength training, and nutrition, all aimed at maximizing the potential of student-athletes.

Matt's return back to baseball was inspired by his desire to improve coaching standards and address baseball skills being neglected in the travel baseball realm.

While raising four boys, he sees the importance of providing quality coaching and mentorship to young athletes, not just for their baseball skill development, but also for their character growth and overall well-being.
